Tear Trough Filler
What is tear trough filler?
Tear Trough Filler is a safe, fast, and non-surgical cosmetic treatment recommended for those with under-eye hollows, ‘eye bags’, and ‘dark circles’.
The deep crease below your lower eyelid and above your upper cheek is referred to as a tear trough. This usually casts a shadow below your eyes making you look older, tired, and unhealthy.
For some people, a dark or hollow tear trough can be inherited. However, for the majority of people, the tear trough becomes more prominent as they age. This happens as we lose volume in our natural facial fat pads and cheeks leading to a thinner, flatter face and unsupported tear trough area.
To replace the lost volume of your facial tissues that occurs as you get older, tear trough filler is injected into the affected areas around your eyes. This procedure is less invasive than tear trough surgeries that involve fat grafting and fat repositioning. So you can expect a younger-looking, smoother, and radiant skin free from lines and wrinkles.
How does tear trough filler work?
Light weight dermal filler (Juvéderm™ Volbella) is injected into the tear trough area to provide lift and fullness under the eyes. This reduces the amount of hallowing under the eyes and makes the area look brighter and rejuvenated.
Advantages of the tear trough filler treatment include:
- Making you look younger, healthier, and confident;
- Safe and relatively painless procedure;
- Non-surgical procedure done in less than 45 mins;
- Use of hyaluronic acid in this treatment is similar to natural hyaluronic acid in the human body. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for making the skin look supple and firm;
- Immediately visible results that continue to improve for up to 4 weeks.
