What is PROFHILO ® ?
Profhilo is a light weight hyaluronic acid skin booster which works to improve skin texture, complexion, hydration and elasticity. It is injected superficially into the layers of the skin as an internal moisturiser to improve overall skin quality. As well as hydrating the skin, it also stimulates collagen and elastin formation. Please note this is not a filler.
A minimum of two treatment sessions are necessary to achieve the desired results.

Do I need PROFHILO ® ?
Profhilo is a lovely treatment which can improve skin quality in everyone. It is a great way to hydrate, lift and plump the skin where it is looking tired and dehydrated.
It can also be used for the very fine lines and wrinkles where other treatments, such as anti-wrinkle injections or fillers may not be suitable.
Profhilo can be used on many parts of the body, including, face, neck, décolleté, hands etc.

What to expect from your appointment?
A full consultation takes place to assess what the main concern is. A full facial assessment is completed to assess the concern and how best to address it and the best method to achieve the desired effect. The procedure, aftercare instructions, and costs are explained to the patient before we begin.
The Procedure
The skin is cleaned thoroughly first followed by numbing cream to make the treatment more comfortable. The results begin to show after approximately 4 weeks. A second profhilo treatment will be organised after 4 -6 weeks. Few patients may require a 3rd session of treatment.

How much does Profhilo® cost?
Profhilo® treatments cost £350 per session or £730 for the body kit which includes 2 sessions and 1 take-home full-sized body cream. All treatments include an initial consultation and a review appointment after 4 weeks.
How long does a Profhilo® procedure take?
The Profhilo® procedure takes approximately 15 minutes to complete the small injections in the appropriate places. Your appointment will usually be booked for 30-45 minutes to make sure there is plenty of time to discuss your medical history, aftercare instructions and to ask as many questions as you need.
How long does a Profhilo® treatment last for?
A Profhilo® treatment can last up to a year, however, everyone’s skin is different and the individual needs vary greatly.
Does a Profhilo® treatment hurt?
The Profhilo® treatment has a minimal level of discomfort. Numbing cream is usually applied to the area 10 minutes prior to injecting the Profhilo® to reduce any discomfort.
How quickly can I see the effects of a Profhilo® treatment?
The effects of a Profhilo® treatment are seen after approximately 4 weeks.
What are the most common side effects of Profhilo®?
Some people experience small spots of bruising where the Profhilo® has been injected. This is most common around the corner of the eyes as the skin is thin and there are many tiny vessels. The small bruising can usually be easily covered up by make-up and usually disappears within 1 – 2 weeks.
Is a Profhilo® review appointment included in the price?
All treatments include a 4 week review appointment to check the progress of your Profhilo® treatment and make sure you are happy with the results. Before and after photos are usually taken at this stage to see the progress made.
